These Prints are very excellent Chiaroscuro work, though, of course, lacking the fineness and minuteness of detail and delicacy of finish shown in Baxter's productions, which would principally be due to the absence of the Intaglio printed plate. The prints, as will be seen, mostly comprise interesting architectural interiors, and were drawn by that well-known draughtsman, Thomas Scandrett, who was born at Wor- cester in 1797, and died in 1870. The blocks were engraved by S. Sly, a London Wood-engraver. It will be necessary here to point out that
